Beloved Spirit of Aliveness is here,
Like a breeze breathing this chest
Like a river beating this heart
Like lightning impressing these eyes
and senses and brain
Like sweetness enchanting this tongue
Like beloved whispering
“loving you”
“being you”
“being here”
”being loving”
“being lover and beloved”
Oh, heart,
be prepared to be swept away
by this flood of flowing grace.
Preparedness it is all one must do.
Anticipate Its approach.
Be silent and still inside.
Burn with longing.
Beloved is already here,
closer than your heart,
and yet … keeps coming.
Now, this is truly living.
